SGML
SGML, or Standard Generalized Markup Language, is the parent of many markup languages. SGML was originally designed to enable machine-readable text to be used across large enterprises. It is rigorous enough to allow the tagging of complex documents, while flexible enough to allow for multitudes of use. Since its inception, Scribe has developed tools that are based in SGML. While others are overwhelmed by the complexity of SGML, Scribe fully understands its use and value. Equally important, since XML and HTML are based on SGML, our knowledge of SGML better enables us to work properly with other markup languages.
