NIMAS
Scribe was one of the first companies to work in the NIMAS format, providing materials for various educational publishers. Scribe employees have been featured speakers at various conferences and training sessions on how to prepare your content for NIMAS; we know how to make the best use of NIMAS. We will create NIMAS to the highest standards and assure that your files are completely accessible through NIMAC or any accessibility center.
Scribe will take your book, convert it to National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard (NIMAS), upload to the National Instructional Materials Accessibility Center (NIMAC) or deliver it to any accessibility center, and ensure certification. Scribe will help you to develop texts that help to improve the accessibility of your publication. Scribe can add alternative text and long descriptions for images, and add structure to assist with navigation. Scribe is registered with the National Instructional Materials Accessibility Center (NIMAC) as an Accessible Media Producer (AMP), and is on the CAST list of recommended vendors.
Since NIMAS serves as an XML source file, Scribe is able to easily prepare files for certification and to help guide you in customizing your workflow to make the conversion smoother in the future.
