LaTex
LaTex is an open-source typesetting language developed in the 1980s for handling scientific and mathematical articles, reports, and books. Using the many extensions available, LaTex can perform complex typesetting projects with advanced mathematical formula and scientific charts.
LaTex fits into Scribe's Well-Formed Document Workflow, because it is driven by structure. It fits our multipurpose publishing philosophy since the Scribe Markup Language (ScML) and the LaTex coding scheme can be converted into each other.
Working with LaTex possess some challenges. But, it allows publishers and authors to maintain control over their publications and helps us to preserve structure.
