Scribe was created in 1993 to produce electronic versions of poor quality multilingual texts. One of our initial projects was to streamline our approach to Optical Character Recognition (OCR). We developed a linguistic-based method to verify text and apply markup languages. We also developed a method to convert complex publications from one format to another, as in an XML workflow (our native coding, ScML, is an SGML).
We develop e-books in almost every format, program effectively for the World Wide Web, and prepare content for delivery through various channels of distribution. In addition to the actual production work, Scribe provides all the necessary components of multipurpose publishing.
